What was my triumphant technological victory? I figured out how to add a 3rd party software to the drop box for autoplaying CDs under Vista. In this case, it's the "cdplayer.exe" I've been carrying around from my Win2K box. I'll post about it later... Also, who out there is playing WoW still? I caved and just re-signed up. What servers are you on, and what are your character names? |

So, Last Year's Resolutions were pretty reasonable, I think. I got them all accomplished except learning to surf. Last year I made a bunch of friends, ate a lot of good food, learned a bunch, and at the end left a crappy job for a good one. Lived with G for a solid year and she hasn't killed me yet (I dodge). This year's resolutions involve:
- Play guitar more than "rarely"
- Expand my local tabletop RPG playing
- Maybe learn to surf this year...
Since I now work about 10 minutes from Laguna Beach, instead of most of an hour inland, the third might be easier than it was last year... |

Quick update: New Job: Awesome. I'm working as an Engineer supporting the Applogic Grid OS. I've been there a week, and we've already had one party to celebrate how awesome the company is. Excellent product, Excellent people, and it actually feels like what I do matters. Compared to Playhut where the people I worked with were the primary redeeming quality (besides getting to play games at work)... huge step up. New Weather: It's actually cool and rainy here. Reminds me of Worcester in the fall. I never thought I'd see it here... New DS: I bought a Nintendo DS. Now I can play Hoshigami in bed. :) New Pants: Because other than the above, things haven't changed a lot around here. We did thanksgiving with strixluna's clan, which was nice. Xmas is coming (go Chris!), New Year's is coming, and I keep forgetting to call my sister. Life in a couple paragraphs. And you people wonder why haven't heard from me? :) |

Looks like we're live. Today, we released our free-to-play (but a good deal of premium content) MMO racing game. I think the press release is tomorrow, but y'all can check it out here before the kiddies get to it. Oh, and... GT fans should probably play on Expert to not feel cheated. |

I'm home
13 hours of sleep? check. I never want to spend 16 hours air-traveling ever again. At least not with 2 layovers and a total of 5 hours sitting in a plane waiting to take off (30 minutes, 90 minutes, and 3 hours, respectively). Left at 4 AM Eastern, got home about 5 PM Pacific. To everyone I didn't get to see? Sorry... it was almost all family (and a wedding) this time around. Hopefully next time I'll be able to come back just to spend some time with folks. Now, I have a few days to recover... Current Music: Dead Can Dance |

Okay, current time line stands as: Wednesday: Flying Thursday: Family Friday: Family Saturday: Wedding Sunday: Family Monday: Family This leaves Monday night available for dinner with me (and maybe my sister, depending on when she goes back) and Tuesday, but not too late because our flight out is Wednesday morning at 6am, and we need to return the car about 4am. So... that's the plan. |
